This year we are going to try out the work box system for the first time. I purchased the
Seville Classics 10-Drawer Organizer Cart
I remember being her age so well I can hardly believe that I have a daughter in 2nd grade! This year Zoe really needs to work on reading and writing so that's what our main focus will be. A lot of copywork, phonics, and books! This year I'm also implementing household responsibilities into her schedule. We started with those this past week and so far everything has gone well! She enjoys helping out and I enjoy the help!
Avery is going to need some things to keep her busy so I am planning on a weekly letter, color, and number to go over with her. She knows most of the letters and their sounds already thanks to one game she plays occasionally on my phone so I think she'll enjoy practicing her letters and numbers. I'll have a few simple activities for her to do and books from the library (or as she calls it, the "birary"). She's only two so I'm in absolutely no rush for her to learn how to read. :-)
